When the Circus came to town…

Genre: Fantasy drama

Circus Girl is a 3-minute short fantasy drama shot on an iPhone SE about a lonely teenager, Lollipop girl, who has a mysterious encounter with a dancing Circus girl.

Themes: Loneliness & Rejection

Experiencing rejection or exclusion in childhood for being different can be a lonely experience. To deter this, a child may like to perform to show how interesting and fun they can be. The relationship between the two characters in Circus Girl explores themes of loneliness, and rejection of what is deemed as “different” in society.
